Dear Divers, The London Dive Show in March was a huge success, not just for Go Dive Philippines, but for the Philippines Tourist Board as well. They had what must have been the biggest & the most exotic stand in the whole show - & we, as usual, were part of it! For those who missed the party on the Saturday afternoon, I must tell you that Dive Philippines supplied Filipino food, drinks & music to all comers.  It was such a great party that the rest of the Show almost came to a halt as everyone joined in! Well done Chicoy & all the rest of the Team! Our Operations Manager, Jan Acosta, came all the way from Manila especially for the Show. Many of you met him on the stand, & were able to discuss your requirements with him in detail. He thoroughly enjoyed his trip, & particularly the chance to meet all our clients on their home ground.  Our Special Dive Tour 31 May-14 June was a sellout at the Show (although we have since unfortunately had an unavoidable cancellation, leaving us with one beachside double & 3 singles available at the last minute. Only £1495, all-inclusive, 30 dives!). Contact us for more details.Many of you were really excited about our Show Special, but complained that you really needed more notice. We have taken that on board, & are currently planning another ‘Special’, near Cebu, probably for April next year. We will publish the details in the Autumn, just before the Birmingham Dive Show. Meanwhile, we still have our standard Corals & Coconuts Tour available all the time – 27 dives, all-inclusive, in 2 different resorts over 16 days. From only £1600 – contact us for more details. We now offer a free PADI Open Water referral dive qualification, or a free Advanced Course, or a free Nitrox Course for anyone booking our Corals & Coconuts Tour this year. We do not do ‘package tours’. • We do not send our clients to resorts which we have not tried out ourselves. • We try our best to find the ecological solution in every case. We are not perfect, but we really do try. • We use resorts & dive schools which are locally owned. This way the profits go back into the local community, & not to a bank account in the Bahamas! • We try to persuade local communities of the value to them of dive tourism – better than supplying the aquarium trade or the Chinese market for dried seahorses. |
